Why BJ Gwajeup Seyeon and Chairman Bang Si-hyuk are drawing attention again, from drug investigation allegations to dating rumors

The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul has recently booked and is investigating three individuals, including Gwajeup Seyeon and Kei, on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. They are suspected of consuming sleeping pills that fall under psychotropic drugs, and this case is the first instance where it has been publicly revealed that Gwajeup Seyeon is under police investigation.

Gwajeup Seyeon's real name is In Se-yeon, and she was born in 2000. After starting her broadcasts through AfreecaTV in 2019, she expanded her activities to various platforms such as YouTube and TikTok. Subsequently, she gained more mainstream popularity by appearing in the YouTube web variety show ‘No-holds-barred’ and the Netflix original variety show ‘The Influencer’.

In particular, in 2024, she drew significant attention when she was spotted with HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk in Beverly Hills, USA. The video at the time captured Bang Si-hyuk, Gwajeup Seyeon, and her older sister together, which focused interest on the relationship between the two.

HYBE stated that Bang Si-hyuk met Gwajeup Seyeon's older sister through a gathering of acquaintances, and subsequently helped with tourist information and restaurant reservations when they visited the United States. Gwajeup Seyeon clarified through a broadcast that she met Bang Si-hyuk for the first time in the United States and that they are not on close terms.

In April this year, Gwajeup Seyeon drew attention once again by revealing her relationship with Kei, who is 11 years older. Since then, she has continued to communicate with fans by presenting various content through her personal YouTube channel. Currently, the number of subscribers to Gwajeup Seyeon's YouTube channel reaches approximately 360,000, and she continues to carry out active activities.
