Meaning of the Creative Chamber Music Project

Piano On is a piano ensemble founded in 2005, which has accumulated a repertoire of about 300 songs, including 200 Korean creative compositions. Lee Hye-gyeong, the CEO who planned this performance, aimed to highlight folk songs as a living art passed down to the next generation by reinterpreting the memories and emotions contained in folk songs through the perspectives of contemporary composers.

Enhancing Audience Accessibility

The performance is composed based on folk song melodies familiar to the public, such as 'Yeouya Yeouya', 'Saeya Saeya', and 'Gangwon-do Arirang'. It was designed so that even audiences unfamiliar with modern creative music can naturally enjoy new musical attempts that break the boundaries between tradition, classical music, and creative music.
