Jin Hae-seong to debut “Love Light” on TV CHOSUN’s Miss Trot For You

Jin Hae-seong will give his unreleased song “Love Light” its first television performance when he returns to TV CHOSUN for episode 21 of Miss Trot For You, airing October 15 at 10 p.m.

The episode’s special feature, “War of Trot Stars,” brings singers who distinguished themselves in various trot audition competitions together as duet partners for the TOP7. The gathering of stars from different competition stages is drawing eager anticipation from fans.

Jin Hae-seong returns with a record that includes the Mi honor on Mr. Trot 2, victory in Trot National Sports Festival and a runner-up finish in Active Singer 2. Welcoming him back to TV CHOSUN after a long absence, host Ahn Sung-hoon says, “My fellow contestant is back.”

Jin Hae-seong immediately responds with a teasing challenge: “Are you still here? You’ve really been doing this a long time.” He adds, “Coming to TV CHOSUN feels like coming home,” before drawing laughter by saying, “I feel comfortable, but I’m also very conscious of how others see me.”

Due for release on the 16th, “Love Light” marks a change of mood for Jin Hae-seong, who has mainly performed plaintive songs. He wrote both the lyrics and music of the brighter new song for his fans. His performance includes cute choreography, and Ahn Sung-hoon makes a surprise appearance onstage to join in the fun.

After the performance, however, a passage in the lyrics prompts cast members to question whether Jin Hae-seong is dating. “Do you have a girlfriend?” they ask, suggesting that “this is a song you could only write if you were in a relationship.” The episode will reveal how he responds to the unexpected speculation after explaining that he wrote the song for his fans.

The special also welcomes back Shin Seung-tae and Min Su-hyeon. Both previously competed on Mr. Trot but had limited opportunities to demonstrate their abilities on the broadcast. Having since earned recognition in their respective careers, they return in triumph, with the program presenting their comeback as a chance to put their earlier humiliation behind them. Anticipation centers on the performances they will bring to overcome those past disappointments.
