Violist Lee Jun-seo will hold a solo recital themed "Lee Jun-seo Viola Recital: The Colors of Vieuxtemps" at the Seoul Arts Center Inchun Art Hall on Saturday, October 17 at 2:00 PM. This performance focuses on the viola works of Henri Vieuxtemps, a representative violinist and composer of 19th-century Romanticism, highlighting the deep and warm tone unique to the viola and the rich expression of Romantic music.

The stage on this day will be composed of a program consisting only of works by the representative 19th-century Romantic composer Henri Vieuxtemps. Through works that blend lyricism and technique, including "Élégie," which showcases the deep and warm tone of the viola, the various charms contained within the viola can be encountered.

In particular, "Viola Sonata No. 2," which was published posthumously, is an unfinished work with only two movements remaining, adding special significance to this performance as it is a repertoire that is relatively infrequently performed. Additionally, in "Duo Brilliant," he will collaborate with violinist Kim Hye-ryeong (Principal of Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra), and in the sonata works, he will work with pianist Kim Ju-seong to deeply interpret the music of Henri Vieuxtemps.

After graduating from the College of Music, Seoul National University, Lee Jun-seo served as a permanent member of the Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra and as the associate principal of the Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra. Based on over 24 years of orchestral activity, he is currently active as a principal performer in the Yangju Philharmonic Orchestra, Gwangju Philharmonic Orchestra, and Yale Chamber, and is presenting deep stages regarding the tone and role of the viola based on his long field experience.

This performance is a stage where one can encounter the lyricism, technique, and deep tone that Henri Vieuxtemps embedded in the instrument known as the viola.
