Actress Park So Dam has once again had her acting skills recognized through the film 'The Journey to Gyeong-ju', her first appearance in approximately three years. Released on the 26th of last month, 'The Journey to Gyeong-ju' depicts the journey of a mother and her three daughters to Gyeong-ju upon hearing the news of a perpetrator's release, timed with the birthday of the youngest daughter who left for a school trip eight years ago and never returned. In the film, Park So Dam plays the role of the second daughter, Yeong-ju, a law school graduate who joins her family's revenge plan while judging the situation with cold rationality.

Park So Dam has built her filmography by appearing in works such as 'Veteran', 'The Priests', and 'Parasite'. She has been evaluated as having her ability to embody characters in every work recognized, from 'Veteran', which drew ten million viewers, to Yeong-sin in 'The Priests', where she showed her fighting spirit by shaving her head, and Gi-jeong in the globally acclaimed 'Parasite'. In this 'The Journey to Gyeong-ju', she is also being evaluated for persuasively expressing the complex emotions faced by Yeong-ju, such as the confusion, scars, and pain arising from contradictory situations. It is known that she personally suggested hairstyles and wearing glasses to the production team to bring realism to the character of an unemployed law school graduate.

In a recent interview, Park So Dam stated, "I feel like I have lived well for the past two years with Yeong-ju in my heart," and added, "I hope the work does well so that many people can see it in theaters."
