RIIZE, whose "Do your dance" gave the group its fourth career million-seller, is coming back with a change of sound. According to its agency, SM Entertainment, the group returns with the single "Insomnia", a track in the acoustic pop genre, which it is attempting for the first time.

Vocals take the lead

Instead of the hip performance that had been the team's signature, the song is built to be heard through the vocals of its six members. Their calm yet plaintive singing is set over a quiet, lonely mood. Hit lyricist Kim Eana contributed the lyrics, which blend longing and complicated feelings toward another person that grow clearer as the night deepens.

After a June million-seller

"Do your dance", the title track of the group's second mini album released in June, earned RIIZE its fourth career million-seller. With "Insomnia", the group signals another transformation, this time with an emotional song suited to the cooler season.

Release details

The single will be released at midnight on October 26 on Melon, FLO, genie, iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, QQ Music, Kugou Music, Kuwo Music and other global music sites. The music video will be released at the same time on the SMTOWN channel on YouTube.
