Run & Music Festival in Andong to Serve 100 Bowls of Andong Jjimdak and 500 Salted Mackerel

SBS 'Run & Music Festival in Andong' will be held in the Andong area of Gyeongbuk on October 24. The record of the day, following the runners as they cross the finish line, will be broadcast through the SBS channel this coming November.

This competition began when the producer in charge, who had no running experience, requested help from the running specialist creator 'Maraniq TV'. The two personally ran and walked the marathon course to inspect it, completing a course that connects the waterfront paths centered around Andong Dam with Imcheonggak, the Seven-story Stone Pagoda of Beopheungsa Temple, and Woryeonggyo Bridge. Andong City, related organizations, and the police also participated in discussions to create a safe course.

Local Sponsorships Follow

Ahead of the competition, sponsorships from local merchants and companies are continuing. One Andong Jjimdak restaurant has offered 100 meal vouchers, and 100 bottles of Andong Soju and 500 pieces of boneless salted mackerel are also scheduled to be delivered to the runners. One company has decided to first purchase 50 participation passes as gifts for novice runners.

Music Festival in the Evening

After the marathon ends, an evening concert will follow at the Civic Stadium. Singers YB and 10cm, the group BTOB, and singer Choi Ye-na (YENA) are scheduled to take the stage. The program is structured so that the morning running leads into an evening music festival.

The production team, along with 'Maraniq TV', is also promoting a donation project for local track and field prospects. The participation of runners will be linked to a method of helping the training of young athletes, and all records and on-site stories from the day of the event will be revealed through the SBS broadcast in November.
