Various residential spaces in Asan, South Chungcheong Province, located just 40 minutes from Seoul via KTX, will be featured on MBC's 'Where Is My Home.' The broadcast will visit apartments in Tangjeong New Town with views of Samsung Display and local schools, short-term rental housing for business travelers, and a traditional Hanok situated among high-rise apartments. Jang Dong-min, an Asan native, will join MBC announcers Park So-young and Kang Da-eun to tour the sites, with actors Jin Seon-kyu and Park Bo-kyung appearing as a couple. The residential styles of Asan New Town and the hobby-filled spaces of a Hanok owner will be revealed in the broadcast on the 29th at 10 PM.

Field trip to Asan New Town, 40 minutes from KTX

In the broadcast on the 29th, MBC's 'Where Is My Home' visits the Asan New Town in South Chungcheong Province to tour residential spaces. Introduced as a location reachable within 40 minutes from Seoul by KTX, Asan offers access to both KTX and the Seoul Metropolitan Subway Line 1. The program describes the city as a place with abundant jobs due to the presence of major domestic corporations such as Samsung and Hyundai, while also offering transportation convenience. The broadcast examines various forms of residential spaces in Asan that have formed based on its transportation and industrial environment.

Asan is introduced as the city with the lowest average age in South Chungcheong Province. For this field trip, Jang Dong-min, a native of Asan, joins MBC announcers Park So-young and Kang Da-eun. Through them, the program explores the residential environment of the Asan New Town. The locations to be introduced include apartments close to workplaces and schools, short-term rental housing for global corporate travelers, and a Hanok amidst a forest of New Town apartments. Each space serves as a residential example reflecting the industrial and educational environment of Tangjeong New Town and the personal tastes of the homeowners.

Apartments overlooking Samsung Display and schools

The apartment introduced in Tangjeong New Town offers views of Samsung Display and local schools. Its key feature is its proximity to both workplaces and schools. While these units were previously only available for sale to Samsung employees, they are now available for general transactions. The program refers to this apartment as the "Samsung dormitory" and notes that the complex is divided into "clusters."

This apartment is presented as an example of residential space located near major corporations in Asan. The primary features highlighted by the program are its location overlooking Samsung Display and schools, and its proximity to workplaces and educational institutions. The fact that apartments once reserved for employees are now open to general transactions is also included. The method of dividing the complex into "clusters" is another element to be examined alongside other residential spaces. The broadcast visits the site to show what types of residential spaces exist near Asan's industrial environment.

Short-term rental housing for travelers with courtyards and rooftops

Short-term rental housing targeting business travelers will also be introduced in Tangjeong New Town. Reflecting the regional characteristics of Asan as a hub for global corporations, these are known as "ilse" houses. The program reports that these homes feature stylish interiors, courtyards, and rooftops. Through these rental spaces, which differ from standard apartments, the broadcast covers residential forms for corporate travelers. The specific interior layouts and the appearance of spaces like the courtyards and rooftops will be introduced through the on-site tour.

The residential examples in Asan presented by the program transition from apartments near workplaces and schools to short-term rental housing for travelers. The previously mentioned apartments are located near Samsung Display and schools, and have transitioned from employee-only sales to general transactions. The "ilse" house visited next is described as a space reflecting the characteristics of a region hosting global companies. These two residential spaces represent different types of homes introduced in Tangjeong New Town. The specific details of the rental house, including its courtyard, rooftop, and interior, can be seen during the broadcast.

Hanok amidst high-rises and a house full of hobbies

The final location visited by the three is a Hanok property situated among a forest of high-rise apartments in the New Town. It possesses traditional Hanok elements such as tiled roofs, ochre brick walls, ceiling rafters, and a sangnyangmun (ridgepole inscription). While touring the house, Park So-young remarked, "It feels like being at my grandmother's house," recalling memories of living in a Hanok with her grandmother. The program introduces the exterior and interior of the Hanok within the New Town where high-rise apartments have been built.

Separate from the appearance of the Hanok, various items related to the owner's diverse hobbies are placed inside and outside the house. There is a camping trailer in the yard, and car seats are located in the vestibule in front of the entrance. Throughout the house, there are trophies related to golf, yachting, Taekwondo, and inline skating, as well as a motorcycle helmet. The program reported that upon seeing this, Kim Sook said, "It's even more than me." The Hanok property is introduced not only for its tiled roof, ochre bricks, rafters, and sangnyangmun, but also as a space containing the owner's tastes, such as the camping trailer and trophies.

Actors Jin Seon-kyu and Park Bo-kyung will appear together in this broadcast. This marks the first time the couple has appeared together on a variety show. The two previously attended the 2026 Blue Dragon Series Awards together this past July. Jin Seon-kyu is appearing in the tvN weekend drama '100 Days of Deception,' and Park Bo-kyung appeared in the TVING original series 'The Ordinary Jackpot.' Their appearance on 'Where Is My Home' is also previewed in the broadcast on the 29th.

The Asan New Town episode of 'Where Is My Home' airs on the 29th at 10 PM on MBC. Following the site visits by Asan natives Jang Dong-min, Park So-young, and Kang Da-eun, the broadcast will reveal the "Samsung dormitory" apartments, short-term rental housing for travelers, the Hanok property, and the joint appearance of Jin Seon-kyu and Park Bo-kyung.
