Lee Mi-joo will reveal a unique persuasion tactic involving a 10-second crying challenge on the second part of SBS 'Rewriting the Success Formula – Young Keke Goes to Work' airing October 25. The program follows 16-year-old students navigating career choices, including a student traveling from Pohang to Daegu to meet Chef Jeon Myeong-ho.
On the 25th, the second part of 'Rewriting the Success Formula – Young Keke Goes to Work' will follow the career selection journeys of 16-year-old students contemplating their futures ahead of high school enrollment. Moon Se-yoon, Lee Sang-yeob, Lee Mi-joo, and So Seul-ji will join to empathize with the hearts of both students and parents, sharing their own sincere stories and experiences of pursuing their dreams.
Lee Mi-joo will reveal a unique "persuasion tactic" she used to achieve her dream. She disclosed that when facing opposition from her parents, her older sister suggested, "If you can shed tears within 10 seconds, I will try talking to our parents." Lee surprised the MCs by revealing she actually succeeded in crying within 10 seconds upon her sister's request to show her talent. However, she candidly added that her sister's word alone was not enough to persuade their parents. Having worked hard to prove her own dreams, Lee showed special affection for the students' challenges, stating, "The fact that they have the will and are working hard toward their dreams was a bit of a 'tear button' for me throughout the recording, and I truly hope everyone does well."
Moon Se-yoon, a father of two, became deeply immersed in the concerns of students who are the same age as his daughter in the third year of middle school. Watching Nam Su-hyeon, a top student torn between an academic high school and a semiconductor high school, Moon empathized with both the student's choice and the parent's worry. Having previously observed a vocational high school admissions briefing filled with students and parents, he expressed regret, saying, "I should have gone there holding my children's hands." He further confessed, "My eldest daughter is in her third year of middle school, but I think I have only viewed her as a mere baby," expressing surprise at the students who are looking inward and preparing for their futures. Moon expressed his determination as a father, saying, "I should seriously ask my daughter what she is thinking and how she is challenging her dreams now."
So Seul-ji supported the students' choices by reflecting on her own career concerns. Expressing her honest feelings to Su-hyeon, who is exploring career paths by identifying his preference for active work, she said, "I actually find that aspect a bit enviable," and offered encouragement, saying, "At his current stage, shouldn't we trust his choice?" She also showed deep interest in Min-ji, who dreams of becoming a chef. Regarding Min-ji's passion—practicing knife skills late into the night and even preparing a PPT to persuade her parents—So expressed anticipation, saying, "Perhaps we will see her soon on ." So's warm perspective in discovering the students' potential and worrying alongside them is expected to resonate with viewers.
Min-ji, who travels from Pohang to Daegu every weekend because she loves cooking, meets Chef Jeon Myeong-ho to see the reality of her dream. When Chef Jeon Myeong-ho appeared, Moon Se-yoon expressed playful jealousy, asking, "Does a chef need to be that handsome?" The witty chemistry and conversation between the four MCs, interspersed with serious career concerns, are also highly anticipated.
Meanwhile, the stories of Kim Ye-rim and Lee Yun-seon, 21-year-old developers who developed their skills at vocational high schools and were employed by companies in Silicon Valley, will be revealed. The MCs expressed admiration at the sight of the two working on a global stage while working from home in South Korea. The stories of these young people, who are carving out their own paths by experiencing the field before university, show another possibility to students facing the choice of high school.
Will Su-hyeon, who is debating between an academic high school and a semiconductor high school, and Min-ji, who is nurturing her dream of becoming a chef by persuading her parents, make their decisions? Lee Sang-yeob remarked, "Wouldn't it be important to let the children make their own choices?" adding, "I should become that kind of parent or father later on." The challenges of the 16-year-olds finding their paths and the stories of the families worrying alongside them can be seen in the full broadcast.
The second part of SBS 'Rewriting the Success Formula – Young Keke Goes to Work' will air on October 25 at 10:55 AM.
