[Special Times] Reporter Choi Seon-eun=Actress Shin Min-a's donation activities are being spotlighted once again. She has been consistently donating for the past 15 years, exerting a positive influence on society. Recently, Shin Min-a's donation history has become a hot topic as it is being shared through online communities and social media.
Since 2009, Shin Min-a has been secretly donating medical expenses for burn patients and support for underprivileged children, and the amount is known to exceed 4 billion won. Since 2015, she has helped more than 200 burn patients through the Hallym Burn Foundation. Not only that, but she has also participated in various support activities for the socially vulnerable, such as low-income children, elderly living alone, and North Korean defectors. Even when national disasters struck, her helping hand did not stop.
In a past interview, Shin Min-a stated that she heard that donations from celebrities can lead to the participation of more people, and expressed her hope that her donations would have a good influence on someone.
Last December, Shin Min-a once again conveyed her warm heart by donating 300 million won to major institutions during her wedding to actor Kim Woo-bin. Although her donations have always been made quietly, their influence was by no means small.
On November 4th, Shin Min-a is scheduled to appear in a Disney+ original series, and many people are looking forward to her acting work.
