THE BOYZ’s Q shows another side in BoldPage photo shoot and interview

THE BOYZ’s Q explores a different side of himself as an actor in a BoldPage photo shoot and interview. He discusses his approach to acting, performances that have influenced him and his wish to build a lasting career at a measured pace.

THE BOYZ’s Q reveals a side of himself as an actor that differs from his stage presence in a photo shoot and interview with global media platform BoldPage. The project moves between vivid color and black-and-white images, capturing a range of moods and expressions.

In the interview, Q discusses how he views his identities as a member of THE BOYZ and as an actor. He says both are expressions of himself and that he does not think of the two names as separate.

He says his work as an actor requires more thought, and that he is broadening his acting range by observing the behavior and emotions of people around him. Within the industry, finding a distinctive identity is regarded as an important part of the development of actors who began as idols. Q, too, appears to be gradually shaping an approach of his own.

Discussing works and performers that have made an impression on him, Q names the film Hear Me: Our Summer as a favorite. He says he was struck by the moments when feelings and glances convey more than words, and that he learned from watching Hong Kyung’s performance. He also says he recently enjoyed the drama Dear X.

The released photographs place Q against strong yellow, blue and red colors and vintage textures, with a different expression in each setting. Black clothing lends a calm mood, while white styling creates an understated impression. Black-and-white close-ups highlight subtle shifts in his gaze and facial expressions. The breadth of expression is striking, making him difficult to define through a single image.

Looking ahead, Q says he wants to go slowly, far and for a long time rather than rush. His photo shoot and interview will be released through BoldPage.
