Elite short track athletes, including Olympic medalists, will attempt to re-enter national team selection trials on the new TV CHOSUN reality program 'Speed Queen' starting Wednesday, November 25.

TV CHOSUN has released a high-intensity teaser for its first-ever South Korean short track sports reality program, 'Speed Queen', signaling the restart of races that many thought had already ended.

Scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, November 25 at 10 PM, the new entertainment program 'Speed Queen' is a real sports variety show featuring elite short track athletes with illustrious backgrounds, including Olympic medalists and former national team members. These athletes will compete fiercely as they dream of wearing the national flag again, aiming to participate in actual national team selection trials.

The challenge is unique because the athletes' pursuit of proving their skills is not limited to a fictional victory within the show. Instead, the participants will continue their training with the goal of entering real national team selection trials and will demonstrate their current abilities through actual competitive matches. Rather than relying on past glory or reputation, the focus is on proving on the ice that their current skills remain intact. Anticipation is building to see how far those who once reached the top can climb once more. Joining them to lead the group are ice skating legend Chun Lee-kyung, coach Kim A-lang, and "passionate manager" Lee Yu-ri, who will serve as a reliable pillar for the team.

The released teaser begins with the ominous caption, "There is such a story at Taereung National Training Center." That story refers to the saying that if one becomes a female short track national athlete, they are guaranteed to win an Olympic medal. This underscores the strength of South Korean women's short track, while also highlighting how difficult it is to earn the national flag. Following this, athletes who once reached the pinnacle as world championship gold medalists but faced setbacks due to slumps or injuries appear with determined expressions, seeking to become national athletes once again. The athletes showed fierce determination, stating, "I want to start again" and "This is my absolute last chance." Pushing themselves to their limits during training, they expressed their resolve, saying, "I will believe in myself and run as far as I can." Finally, the teaser shows the athletes cutting through the ice without hesitation, heightening expectations for the intense challenges and emotional moments to come in the broadcast.

The sports reality program 'Speed Queen', which follows the final national team challenge of short track athletes still looking to prove their abilities, will premiere on TV CHOSUN on Wednesday, November 25 at 10 PM.
