Following their first Asia tour, TWS has released their second single 'To Us' featuring the title track 'Call My Name,' which incorporates piano melodies by jazz pianist Yun Seok-cheol. Members SHINYU, YOUNGJAE, and DOHOON contributed to the lyrics to express their passion for the stage and their fans.
The group TWS has released their second single, 'To Us', adding deeper emotions to their refreshing musical color. Centered around the title track 'Call My Name' released on September 2, the album carries a message that one can overcome fear and move forward because there is someone who believes in them. The track features lyrical piano melodies by jazz pianist Yun Seok-cheol layered with dynamic rhythms, while the performance focuses on delicate movements and emotional expression.
During a recent interview held at the HYBE building in Yongsan-gu, the members stated, "Rather than limiting the TWS color to 'refreshing,' we want to express it as 'overwhelming.'" JIHOON emphasized that the team wants to be recognized for their ability to handle diverse music, noting, "The color of TWS is closer to a palette than a dropper." Before producing the album, SHINYU conducted interviews with each member to gather their recent thoughts and concerns, and SHINYU, YOUNGJAE, and DOHOON participated directly in writing the lyrics, embedding their passion for the stage and their feelings for fans into the words.
YOUNGJAE shared, "I wrote the lyrics honestly while thinking of TWS on stage and the fans who have always been by our side." KYUNGMIN admitted, "It would be a lie to say there is no pressure," adding, "What matters is how much sincerity we put into every album, rather than whether it succeeds or fails." JIHOON spoke of the struggle to show a new side of themselves, stating that the presence of the members and fans provided great strength.
Having recently completed their first Asia tour, TWS gained confidence through their performances. KYUNGMIN evaluated that performing in various cities helped them understand fan culture and improved their ability to handle the stage. JIHOON shared the experience of participating directly in choreographing, noting that their ability to actually realize the stages they envision in their heads has improved. Looking ahead, the group expressed the ambition to stand on the main stage of the Japanese music festival 'SUMMER SONIC' and emphasized their message to fans: "If someone needs trust, TWS wants to be that trust."
