The five-member male band V01D will release their second mini album, ‘YOUTHQUAKE’, at 6:00 PM on the 19th. Composed of Song Yu-chan, Jo Ju-yeon, Kevin Park, Jung Ji-seop, and Shinnosuke, V01D captures the movements and changes of youth in this album. The title, a combination of ‘Youth’ and ‘Quake’, signifies the significant changes and tremors caused by youth, expressing a growth narrative of moving forward and expanding one's world despite anxiety and wandering.
The album contains a total of five songs, including the title track ‘My Youth’, as well as the pre-released tracks ‘Ending Credit’, ‘Memory’, ‘Scream Out Now’, and ‘Best Part’. All five members participated in the lyrics and composition.
According to media reports, ‘My Youth’ delivers a message of living one's own youth without being shaken by the gaze of others or real-life worries through an intense band sound. ‘Ending Credit’ features a refreshing yet strong band sound that sings of a new beginning rather than an end, incorporating mature vocals and solid instrumentation.
‘Memory’ is a refreshing J-Rock style track that captures the sensibility of youth films from the 2000s. ‘Scream Out Now’ is a rock anthem emphasizing the energy to break through self-imposed limits, while ‘Best Part’ is a fan song recording shining moments shared with fans. The album consists of five songs that tell the story of youth expanding from 'I' to 'we'.
Their agency, IX Entertainment, stated, "As the second mini album in the first year of debut in 2026, we focused on completing a growth narrative so that V01D's musical capabilities can be further discovered." The agency added, "We will show them moving forward as a growing band with matured vocals and solid performance skills."
