The SBS variety show Whenever Possible will feature retired guide dogs and their owners, Yoo Yeon-seok and Seo Hyun-jin, as they attempt to win prizes through a frisbee-throwing game.
On the 27th broadcast of SBS Whenever Possible, Yoo Jae-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Seo Hyun-jin, and Lee Chun-hee visited Nowon-gu to meet six retired guide dogs for the visually impaired. The group will participate in a frisbee-throwing competition to attempt to deliver gifts to the retriever "gap owners."
SBS's Whenever Possible will feature its first-ever canine "gap owners" as a family of retrievers makes an appearance.
The show features "Rita's dad" Yoo Yeon-seok and "Cedar's mom" Seo Hyun-jin, who are set to redouble their efforts upon meeting the dog owners. Yoo Yeon-seok expressed his determination, stating, "We must succeed." The episode promises high tension and maximum cuteness during a "frisbee-throwing" competition.
In the upcoming episode of SBS Whenever Possible, retriever "gap owners" will make their debut, drawing significant interest. Directed by Choi Bo-pil with writer Chae Jin-a, the SBS variety program is a "gap-targeting" variety show that gifts luck during brief moments of downtime in daily life. The broadcast on the 20th recorded a peak viewership rating of 5.7% and a household rating of 3.8%, marking its 10th consecutive week as the number one program in its time slot among all variety and educational programs (based on Nielsen Korea data for the Seoul metropolitan area). In today's (27th) broadcast, "Two Yu MCs" Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok will visit Nowon-gu, Seoul, with guest actors Seo Hyun-jin and Lee Chun-hee.
For the first time in the show's history, retriever "gap owners" will appear, capturing everyone's attention. These dogs are retired guide dogs for persons with a visual impairment who are now living their second lives. The owners, Yoo Yeon-seok ("Rita's dad") and Seo Hyun-jin ("Cedar's mom"), cannot take their eyes off the adorable retrievers as they wag their tails with all their might. The retrievers tilt their heads at every movement made by the four people, and when fortune cookies are brought out, they rush toward them with sparkling, pleading eyes, mistaking them for snacks. After spending time photographing the six retrievers, Yoo Yeon-seok and Seo Hyun-jin, moved by the dogs' intense pleading—even more powerful than that of children—expressed a burning desire to succeed, saying, "What should we do about those eyes? We must succeed."
In response, the four participants will engage in a frisbee-throwing game tailored for the dogs to defend their snacks. It is reported that the four will maintain happy smiles throughout the game due to the curious gazes of the retrievers, who cannot look away whenever a frisbee is picked up. Furthermore, the retrievers' behavior of lying down comfortably as if they were in their own living room is said to have instantly relieved the participants' game-related stress. Interest is heightened as Yoo Yeon-seok is expected to prove his skill by demonstrating his frisbee-throwing class alongside Rita. It is reported that Seo Hyun-jin, feeling envious of Yoo Yeon-seok's performance in capturing the retrievers' attention, said, "I will practice more too. I want to succeed."
Whether "Rita's dad" Yoo Yeon-seok can protect the "dog hearts" of the six retrievers and deliver generous gifts can be seen in today's (27th) broadcast of Whenever Possible, as the four struggle through the frisbee-throwing game while being disarmed by the dogs' eyes.
The healing variety show Whenever Possible, which promises even stronger, life-oriented laughter and emotion, airs every Tuesday at 9 PM.
