According to media reports, the two announced via the YouTube channel 'Chonjang Entertainment TV' that they will marry on December 5. After meeting during the 2024 filming of 'I Am SOLO', they remained friends before beginning a relationship with the intention of marriage on August 11. They reportedly decided to marry on October 10, approximately two months later.

The wedding date, December 5, coincides with the day Yeong-su chose Sun-ja during his first impression selection while filming 'I Am SOLO'. That first impression selection took place on December 5, 2024, and the two are set to become a married couple on that same date exactly two years later.

In a marriage announcement interview, the couple revealed they had just finished their wedding photo shoot. At that time, Sun-ja explained that because the wedding photos were not yet ready, they included the scene of their 'I Am SOLO' first impression selection in their wedding invitations.
