The film 'Heart of the Beast' has released a behind-the-scenes featurette capturing the military authenticity and realism of the production.
The featurette, titled 'Soldier of the Battlefield,' was officially released through the distributor's official channel on the 27th.
The work depicts the survival story of a special forces soldier and a retired military dog stranded in the wilderness of Alaska following a plane crash.
Scheduled for release in Korea on October 28, the film is directed by David Ayer and stars Brad Pitt and J.K. Simmons.
In the video, naval veteran and consultant Sean DeJean stated that he studied detailed movements, such as folding a map and drawing a knife, alongside the actors. He focused on making weapon usage appear as "the movements of someone who has already done the same action about ten thousand times." To enhance the film's military realism, instructors from S.E.R.E., a high-intensity survival training program used by the U.S. military, and military experts joined the production. These experts utilized their combat experience of over 20 years to increase the film's military accuracy. Brad Pitt shared that he focused on the loneliness and internal conflict of a character living in the aftermath of war, while director David Ayer said he meticulously researched uniforms, equipment, and weapons based on his experience serving as a submarine crew member.
