‘Dive into You’ Episode 7: Jung Woo-jae Is a Top Actor in 2026 and Tells Yoon Ha-na to Keep Away

A falling camcorder in episode 7 of Dive into You sent Yoon Ha-na (Kim Ji-yeon) and her twin brother Yoon Ha-ru (Jang Se-hyeok) back to 2026 in swapped bodies, where Jung Woo-jae (Park Seo-ham) is now a top actor.

A cold welcome in 2026

Back in the present, Yoon Ha-na and Yoon Ha-ru found their lives changed. Yoon Ha-na, once a top actor, is now a supporting actor, and Yoon Ha-ru, once a judo athlete, has become a star chef. Jung Woo-jae works not as a bodyguard but as a top actor. Yoon Ha-ru, whose soul was in Yoon Ha-na's body, greeted Jung Woo-jae warmly and hugged the character. Jung Woo-jae answered, “We're not on those terms, are we? Don't touch me.” The two siblings were taken aback by the chilly reaction.

The scene left a question about what happened to the former couple over the 13 years between 2013, when they were shooting a short film together, and the awkward 2026 in which they now meet. Reports on the episode said that after being thrown back into the present, Yoon Ha-na faces Jung Woo-jae's changed attitude and learns what happened in between. Earlier scenes showed Jung Woo-jae worrying about Yoon Ha-na on set and the two eating together in the living room of their shared house. The preview for episode 8 also mentions that Yoon Ha-na had won a best actress award before travelling back in time and that the actor's standing has since changed.

Pushing Jung Woo-jae away in 2013

In 2013, a lighting accident hit the set while the two were shooting the short film, and Jung Woo-jae hurt a leg trying to protect Yoon Ha-na. Yoon Ha-na felt guilty. Having tried to keep Jung Woo-jae from making protecting Yoon Ha-na a life dream, and having failed to change that mind, Yoon Ha-na said the only option left was to keep a distance so Jung Woo-jae could no longer do the protecting. The decision stood in contrast to the earlier scenes of the two as a couple.

Yoon Ha-na called Jung Woo-jae aside and said, “Please, just live thinking only of yourself.” That reversed what Yoon Ha-na had said before, when asking Jung Woo-jae to protect only Yoon Ha-na. Jung Woo-jae could say nothing and watched with a bitter expression as Yoon Ha-na spoke firmly, then walked away and left Jung Woo-jae alone. Composing herself afterwards, Yoon Ha-na ran into Lee Hyeong-won (Kim Han-young).

The earlier part of the episode set this up. After travelling to 2013, Yoon Ha-na saw someone drop the camcorder from a distance. Fearing the time travel might end at that moment and the two might never meet again, Yoon Ha-na hugged Jung Woo-jae and said, “Don't protect anyone but you,” asking Jung Woo-jae to protect only Yoon Ha-na. The time travel did not end. Relieved, Yoon Ha-na spent the time before returning to the present helping Jung Woo-jae find a dream other than bodyguard work. Jung Woo-jae would not give up the plan to become a bodyguard and said protecting Yoon Ha-na was the dream. Yoon Ha-na urged Jung Woo-jae not to take the job, but the decision did not change.

The camcorder and the scar

Yoon Ha-na already suspected Lee Hyeong-won. Yoon Ha-ru had said the scar on Lee Hyeong-won's wrist matched that of the stalker who killed Jung Woo-jae in 2026. Lee Hyeong-won turned up holding Yoon Ha-na's camcorder, and Yoon Ha-na was wary of the repeated approaches. Jung Woo-jae saw the two face to face and scuffled with Lee Hyeong-won to protect Yoon Ha-na. During the fight the camcorder hit the floor, and Yoon Ha-na and Yoon Ha-ru were again sent to 2026 with their souls swapped.

The camcorder thus links the 2013 time travel to the jump to 2026, but episode 7 does not explain how Lee Hyeong-won got hold of it. The next episode is to pick up how the relationship between the two changed by 2026.
