The Hunger Games series returns to theaters for special marathon screening
A special screening series will bring four films from 'The Hunger Games' franchise back to theaters, allowing audiences to revisit the world of Panem before the release of the new prequel.
A special four-film marathon screening of The Hunger Games series will be organized ahead of the November 18 world premiere of Sunrise on the Reaping, which follows Haymitch Abernathy during the 50th Hunger Games.
According to a report by Sports Donga, a special screening series will be organized to allow audiences to encounter the world of 'The Hunger Games' series in theaters once again. This special exhibition will screen a total of four films, including the film that signaled the start of the series, 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire', 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1', and 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2'. Longtime fans will be able to reunite with major scenes in the theater, while audiences encountering the series for the first time can observe the world of Panem and the narratives of the characters all at once.
'The Hunger Games' is a work that depicts the struggle and resistance of those forced into survival games set in Panem under a dictatorial power. Survival, solidarity, and resistance against the system, centered around Katniss Everdeen, run through the series, which has been loved by audiences worldwide by capturing issues of power and control amidst spectacular spectacles.
This special screening is an opportunity to enjoy the new film 'The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping', which will have its world premiere on November 18, in a more in-depth manner. The new film deals with a story set 24 years before the existing series and depicts the past of Haymitch Abernathy, who participates in the 50th Hunger Games. Haymitch enters the survival game after receiving a training score of 1, the lowest in history, and to mark the 50th anniversary, the number of tributes increases to 48, which is double the previous number.
The story follows Haymitch as he attempts to survive through wit and ingenuity in a game designed to be disadvantageous to him. By re-watching the existing series, the connections between the characters and the world of Panem that lead into the new film can be more clearly identified.
