Mandopop star JJ Lin concluded his performance at the Padang Stage during the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2026 held in Singapore on October 9. He performed a total of 20 songs, including his signature hits, ballads, and latest tracks, most of which were presented with new arrangements.
The performance was reportedly prepared over approximately six months by a multinational team of more than 100 people. The production involved international dancers, musicians, and a global creative team, featuring live piano accompaniment, three different stage outfits, and pyrotechnic special effects. The show was organized into four musical chapters: ‘Ignition’, ‘Night Drive’, ‘Emotional Ascent’, and ‘New Era’.
JJ Lin opened the stage with the English song ‘The Show’, a collaboration with two-time Grammy Award nominee Steve Aoki. This was followed by ‘No. 89757’, ‘Sanctuary’, and ‘Cao Cao’. During the performance of ‘Bedroom’, a collaboration with British singer Anne-Marie, fellow Singaporean singer-songwriter Jasmine Sokko made a surprise appearance. He also delivered the first live performance of his English single ‘RISE WITHOUT A SOUND’, which is scheduled for worldwide release before midnight on October 10. As the event combined a major music festival with a motorsports event, the composition and direction of the stage appeared to be of heightened importance. Regarding the pressure of the performance, JJ Lin said, “Of course, there was pressure!” He also stated, “As there are currently no plans for a new tour, I consider this performance a stage to continue JJ20 on a smaller scale.”
