'Doctor X' Kim Ji-won Transforms into a Medical Dark Hero… Premiering October 9
SBS's new medical noir drama 'Doctor X' will premiere on October 9, starring Kim Ji-won as a genius surgeon fighting hospital corruption.
SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Doctor X' is preparing for its first broadcast on Friday, October 9, at 9:50 PM. This work aims to be a refreshing medical noir where 'Kye Su-jeong,' who possesses genius surgical skills, uncovers massive corruption within a hospital.
This drama features the collaboration of director Lee Jung-rim, who directed 'VIP' and 'Revenant,' and writer Pyeon Seong-geun. Kim Ji-won will play the role of Kye Su-jeong, a surgeon dispatched to Guseo University Hospital, showcasing her side as a dark hero fighting against corrupt medical powers.
Intense Transformation and Character Traits
In the released stills, Kim Ji-won creates a unique atmosphere by appearing in a black leather coat instead of a white lab coat. In the drama, Kye Su-jeong is a character nicknamed 'the crazy Kye of the operating room' due to her obsession with surgery. Her persistent and charismatic presence on the operating table increases the tension of the drama and foreshadows her activities to shake up the hospital's power dynamics with her skills.
The production team stated that from the first shoot, Kim Ji-won was perfectly immersed in the character, showing herself to be Kye Su-jeong herself. In addition to Kim Ji-won, Lee Jung-eun, Son Hyun-joo, and Kim Woo-seok will appear to add weight to the drama.
