The Korea Creative Content Agency is moving into full-scale implementation of establishing a Korean-Style Production Committee that provides integrated support for the entire process from content IP discovery to production, distribution, and overseas expansion. On September 17, Kim Yun-ji, President of the Korea Creative Content Agency, held a press conference at the CKL Business Support Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, to mark her 100th day in office and announced four new strategies, including this initiative. This plan aims to strengthen the commercialization capabilities of K-content by organically connecting creators, production companies, investors, platforms, and distributors, and to expand its scope into a K-lifestyle by combining with related industries such as food and fashion.

The core "Korean-Style Production Committee" will benchmark Japan's production committee system but will be operated in a form that accepts only the advantages while excluding negative elements, such as complex rights relationships that hinder overseas expansion. The Agency plans to perform a role similar to a secretariat, selecting competitive IPs and providing one-stop support for the entire process from planning to profit generation. In particular, the Agency intends to ease the burden on creators and production companies by also reviewing contract and rights issues that arise during the process of expanding the genre of the IP.

Organizational restructuring and institutional improvements to increase the efficiency of the support system were also announced. The current process of recruiting evaluation committee members every three years will be shortened to an annual basis to ensure the expertise and fairness of reviews, and plans are being pursued to transition the current structure, which is centered on government subsidy projects, to a support agency for contribution funds. President Kim emphasized that considering the nature of content production and distribution requiring long periods, transitioning to a contribution fund agency will enable flexible budget management and the establishment of industry-friendly policies. This matter aims to be resolved within her term through consultations with the Ministry of Finance and Economy and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

To attack overseas markets, the package export strategy that combines content with related industries will be strengthened. The agency plans to regularize the K-Expo, a joint export market of relevant ministries, in North America, Europe, and Asia, and plans to promote the overseas consumption of domestic companies' products by utilizing product placement (PPL) within content. Furthermore, the vision is to redefine the Agency beyond a simple support organization into an industry platform through the expansion of IT business to vitalize distribution and the expansion of genres eligible for low-interest loan support.
