40 Kyungpook National University Students Show 'K-IT' Passion in Jember, Indonesia... 'Docu On' to Broadcast

KBS 1TV 'Docu On' will cover the volunteer journey of Kyungpook National University students in Jember, Indonesia, on the 5th (Sat) at 10:15 PM.

This broadcast captures the three-week record of approximately 40 Kyungpook National University students who participated as the 'World Friends Korea (WFK) IT Volunteer Group.' The students teamed up with students from Jember Polytechnic to carry out a 'Smart City Kit' implementation project to solve daily problems faced by local residents using IT technology.

Challenges to Solve Local Problems

The students personally visited flood-prone areas and railway tracks lacking safety facilities to understand the local situation. Despite realistic difficulties such as technical limitations and conflicting opinions, the students worked with a sense of responsibility to complete the project. In this process, Korean and Indonesian students overcame language and cultural barriers, sharing their daily lives and becoming 'one team.'

A Record of Youthful Growth

At the final presentation, the students received a great response as they showcased the results they had prepared by staying up all night. The passionate Summer Vacation scene of the students, who ended up learning and growing even more in Jember where they went to volunteer, will be revealed.
