[Special Times] Reporter Choi Seon-eun=Actress Lee Yu-bi has challenged the global stage by appearing in the Korea-Taiwan co-produced drama 'Hello 1987'. Lee Yu-bi recently attended a drama production press conference held in Taiwan, meeting with local media and engaging in various promotional activities.
The production press conference was filled with about 100 media outlets, serving as proof of the high interest in the drama. In addition to interviews with various Taiwanese media, photo shoots with several famous magazines were also conducted.
The drama 'Hello 1987' depicts the lives and love of characters in a challenging era set in Korea and Taiwan. It is a period drama centered on crossed In-Yun, the secrets of two families, and a narrative connecting Korea and Taiwan. Lee Yu-bi will play the role of a young woman named Kim Eun-sook, who is honest yet brave, showing her efforts to protect pure love.
Lee Yu-bi stated that she has always been interested in the sensibility of Taiwanese works, saying, “It was an honor to participate in a co-production between Korea and Taiwan.” Expressing that she was deeply moved by feeling the unique sensibility of Taiwan during filming, she also shared her anticipation for how the colors of Taiwan will be expressed through her in the work.
She also mentioned that she was immersed in the deep emotions shown in the highlight video of this work and was fascinated by the collaboration with other actors. 'Hello 1987' is scheduled to air for the first time on Taiwan's 'PTS Taigi TV' on the 30th, and discussions regarding the domestic broadcasting platform are ongoing.
