Nmixx's Comeback Mini Album Strange Muse Includes Group's First Three Unit Songs

Nmixx's sixth mini album, Strange Muse, will include three unit songs the members are presenting for the first time since their debut. The group released a music video teaser for the new title track "Birthday Wish" on the 18th, a day before the comeback.

Three units, six tracks

Besides the title track "Birthday Wish," the album carries "Kerosene" and "RudE TaLK," plus the three unit songs. LILY and HAEWON are paired on "Sing to the Moon," SULLYOON and BAE on "Hot ’n Unbothered," and JIWOO and KYUJIN on "WHIP." The album thus consists of one title track, two other tracks and three unit songs, six tracks in all.

The titles and participating members of each track have been announced, but the materials provided do not include the genre or lyrics of the three unit songs.

A teaser that ends in a party

The teaser closes with the six members shouting as one and running off cheerfully. Before that, it shows them enjoying a party together. The scenes of the members together match the description of the song as one about a beautiful sincerity to be cherished for a long time.

"Birthday Wish" is built on a varied progression. It presents a romantic scene of making wishes with all one's heart for each other, having finally come face to face. Nmixx had already shown parts of the song through a highlight medley video, a preview of the new song and a challenge video. The teaser follows that earlier content in showing the title track's visuals and atmosphere.

Fans reacted to the sections released earlier by saying, "It foreshadows a song like a movie, and it feels like there will be plenty to celebrate, just like the lyrics." That response was presented as coming from fans who heard part of the song in advance, not the whole track.
