SM Entertainment announced that RIIZE will release their first acoustic pop single, 'Insomnia', at midnight on the 26th. The track features a drama-style music video and marks a shift toward vocal expression ahead of the group's second full-length album scheduled for next spring.

SM Entertainment announced on the 25th that RIIZE will release their new single 'Insomnia' through domestic and international music sites at midnight on the 26th.

This track is an acoustic pop song centered on vocals, a style RIIZE is attempting for the first time.

The song captures the complex emotions and thoughts of a person directed toward someone else that become clearer as the night deepens, set against guitar playing and a lonely atmosphere.

SHOTARO stated that because they had to demonstrate themselves through vocals rather than performance, they contemplated ways to convey emotions with their own unique color; he added that they practiced vocal tones, expression methods, and the balance of harmonies between members through vocal lessons and phonation training.

SUNGCHAN said he finely adjusted his tone and intonation to bring out the emotional line of the lyrics, while SOHEE expressed hope that the song would be remembered as the track where RIIZE's vocals shine most prominently and as a song that immediately brings RIIZE's vocals to mind.

EUNSEOK described the harmonies of all members as the "killing part" and characterized the fandom, BRIIZE, as a source of will and comfort. Won Bin highlighted the part where he and SHOTARO successively build harmonies following EUNSEOK and ANTON as impressive.

The music video was produced in a drama format depicting the stories of people who cannot sleep. SHOTARO mentioned that he cut his hair short and tried special effects makeup for the first time, noting that while the emotional acting involving screaming or shedding tears was difficult, he performed well.

Won Bin expressed his wish for the song to be one where everyone can fully feel their own emotions, and ANTON added that he hopes listening to 'Insomnia' even after a long time will naturally bring back memories and moments from 2026.

Since their debut in 2023, RIIZE has been active with tracks such as 'Get A Guitar', 'Boom Boom Bass', and 'Love 119', and released their second mini-album 'II' this past June. They are scheduled to present their second full-length album 'EMOTIION' next spring.
