Singer Jo Jung-min Appointed as Honorary Ambassador for Yongin Severance Hospital

According to media reports, singer Jo Jung-min attended an appointment ceremony held at Yongin Severance Hospital of Yonsei University on the 29th and was appointed as the hospital's honorary ambassador. Park Jin-oh, director of Yongin Severance Hospital, and hospital officials attended the event.

The connection between Jo Jung-min and Severance Hospital is not the first time. In the past, he underwent thyroid surgery from Professor Kim Seok-mo at Gangnam Severance Hospital. His experience with the hospital as a patient led to this appointment as an honorary ambassador.

Jo Jung-min stated, “Because I have experienced the hospital from a patient's perspective, I know well how important a place the hospital is to patients. I will connect the hard work of the medical staff with the hearts of patients and widely promote the activities of Yongin Severance Hospital.”

Director Park Jin-oh took office as the 3rd director of Yongin Severance Hospital last March. He has served as the head of orthopedics, vice director of medical affairs, and chairman of the external cooperation committee, and in August, he received a commendation from the Ministerio de Salud y Bienestar (Corea del Sur) for his contributions to the development of local health and medical services and the promotion of national health.

Jo Jung-min, who has released works such as ‘Silly Bear’ and ‘Ready, Cue’, has been active in the fields of music, broadcasting, and performance. Moving forward, he plans to contribute to promoting the medical and social contribution activities of Yongin Severance Hospital.
