Unis' New Japanese Song 'GimmeSummer☆' Settles in Top Ranks of USEN Chart

The group Unis' new Japanese song is receiving a positive response locally.

According to F&F Entertainment on the 28th, Unis' Japanese first mini-album title track 'GimmeSummer☆' (GimmeSummer☆/ギミサマ☆) recorded 3rd place in the daily rankings and 5th place in the weekly rankings of the USEN Oshikatsu Request Ranking. This song, characterized by its bright and refreshing sound, is introduced as a track that captures a summer atmosphere.

USEN is a company that holds the number one market share in the in-store background music (BGM) industry, and songs that rise to the top of this ranking serve as an indicator for gauging local music trends. Unis' name appearing in the top ranks of this chart is interpreted as a result showing public preference beyond just the fandom.

Previously, Unis' first Japanese mini-album 'UNI☆Sparkle!' released on July 31st rose to 4th place on the Oricon Daily Album Chart immediately after its release and entered 15th place on the Billboard Japan Top Album Sales Chart.

Unis is an 8-member group formed through the SBS girl group survival audition 'Universe Ticket' which aired from late 2023 to early 2024, and they debuted in March 2024. Since then, they have continued their activities by releasing 'Superwoman', 'Swish', 'I Don't Know', 'Spring Rain', and 'Steel Cold Winter'.
