KBS 'Docu Insight' Highlights 45 Years of Epic Historical Drama History and Lee Deok-hwa's Views on Historical Dramas

KBS 1TV 'Docu Insight' will highlight the history of epic historical dramas that has continued for 45 years through the Broadcasting Day special project 'The Epic Historical Dramas We Loved,' airing on Thursday, September 3 at 10 PM. Starting with 'Daemyeong' in 1981, KBS epic historical dramas have presented 34 works, providing viewers with a new perspective on our history.

Actor Lee Deok-hwa, often called a 'historical drama master,' discusses the special emotion held by epic historical dramas in this broadcast. He stated, "Meeting historical figures itself is a marvel," and added, "As the intensity is high, there is three times more emotion than in general dramas." For actors, epic historical dramas were a stage where they could complete and grow their characters through a long breath of over 100 episodes.
