From Monday, August 31 to Wednesday, September 2 at 12:40 AM on EBS1, EBS will broadcast a three-part special series themed around human values in the AI era through AI toys and a child's friendship, Shin Jin-seo's victory, and a life not confined by personality types.

August 31 'The Perfect Friend'

The first episode deals with 'talking toys' equipped with generative AI. It examines whether these toys, which respond when spoken to, answer questions, and play together, can become a 'perfect friend' for children. Children naturally show a tendency toward 'anthropomorphism,' conveying their feelings even to silent dolls and reading intentions from simple movements; the key is how children accept these toys once they begin to converse like humans. As a result of researchers at the University of Cambridge observing play between young children and AI dolls, unexpected scenes were captured, and based on this, the broadcast points out what a 'good friend' truly needed by a child is.

September 1 '[An Era Resembling AI] Part 1: The Best Move of This Era'

The second episode highlights an era where artificial intelligence has become the weapon that decides the outcome on the Go board. Amidst a trend where a professional player's skill is evaluated by how much it resembles technology, it covers the case of Shin Jin-seo, who threw a decisive move beyond fixed formulas, departing from the optimal moves presented by machines. Through Shin Jin-seo's victory in overcoming the barrier of KataGo, the program depicts a future where advanced technology and humans walk together and asks what the 'next move' will be to prove human value in a world dominated by technology.

September 2 'Neither I nor E'

The third episode deals with the stories of people who do not fit neatly into any category in a world that attempts to explain individuals through several types. While the human heart is never clearly divided into a few types, those who do not fit any name may perceive themselves as having a problem or become exhausted from acting out different personas to suit the situation. Rather than conforming to familiar standards, the broadcast asks again the meaning of 'existing as oneself'—whether we can recognize the state of not being defined by one side as a form of being different.
