LG Uplus launched six 'Books and Magazines Pack' options through its Yoodok platform on the 25th, offering unlimited eBooks or digital magazines alongside coffee, movie, and shopping benefits for 9,900 won per month.

LG Uplus announced on the 25th that it has launched six types of 'Books and Magazines Pack' through its subscription platform Yoodok, combining eBooks and digital magazines with coffee, movie, and shopping benefits.

The company aims to reduce the inconvenience of subscribing to and managing multiple services individually by bundling content and lifestyle benefits into a single package. The six new products allow customers to choose benefits based on their usage purpose for a monthly fee of 9,900 won, expanding consumer choice and convenience.

The launch comes amid rising consumption of digital-based reading and information content. According to the '2024 Reading Culture Statistics' by the Korea Publishing and Reading Policy Research Institute, the eBook usage rate among adults is 37.5%, while the usage rate for magazines and webzines is 34.9%. LG Uplus focused on this trend along with the 'Life Return on Investment' trend, where consumers prioritize practical utility relative to the time and cost invested.

LG Uplus designed these products to minimize the hassle of searching for and managing various subscription services separately. By combining eBooks and digital magazines with frequently used daily benefits like coffee, movies, and shopping, the company allows customers to select combinations that match their content preferences and purposes.

Yoodok is LG Uplus's subscription platform where customers can subscribe to and manage various products across fields such as AI, OTT, education, shopping, and lifestyle in one place. Customers can select desired subscription products and receive various affiliated benefits.

The newly released Yoodok 'Books and Magazines Pack' combines Kyobo Book Centre's eBook subscription service 'sam' or Moazine—which provides approximately 2,400 types of digital magazines including HBR and DBR (Harvard Business Review and Dong-A Business Review)—with lifestyle benefits such as coffee, movies, and shopping.

The subscription packs consist of a total of six types: three 'Books Pack' options providing a 1-month unlimited pass for Kyobo Book Centre sam, and three 'Magazine Pack' options providing a 1-month unlimited pass for Moazine's domestic and international magazines.

The Books Pack includes: the 'Books and Coffee Pack' providing 5 cups of MEGA MGC COFFEE Americano (HOT); the 'Books and Movies Pack' providing 1 CGV 1+1 movie voucher and 2 cups of MEGA MGC COFFEE Americano (HOT); and the 'Books and Shopping Pack' providing a 2,000 won OLIVE YOUNG voucher, a 2,000 won DAISO voucher, and 1 cup of MEGA MGC COFFEE Americano (HOT).

The Magazine Pack also offers combinations of the Moazine 1-month pass with coffee, movie, or shopping benefits, allowing customers to choose based on their needs. The monthly fee for all products is 9,900 won, and detailed compositions and benefit conditions for each product can be found on the Yoodok product detail pages.

“We have organized these products so that customers can conveniently select content and benefits that suit their lifestyle without having to search for multiple subscription services one by one,” said Cho Yong-seong, LG Uplus Vice President of Affiliated Business. “Moving forward, we will continue to present various subscription combinations that allow customers to feel practical benefits by further segmenting customer tastes and usage purposes.”
