According to media reports, Andrew Lloyd Webber's representative work 'Cats' will hold a tour in Korea, visiting major cities starting from December 2026. This performance is being organized for the first time in three years since 2023, and it is garnering much anticipation as it is a work that surpassed a cumulative audience of 2 million for the first time in Korean musical history.
The first stage will be held at the Daegu Keimyung Art Center from December 18, 2026, to January 3, 2027, and it is scheduled to meet audiences in Busan, Sejong, Seoul, and other locations thereafter. 'Cats', which premiered in London in 1981, has drawn more than 77 million spectators in over 300 cities across 54 countries and has swept major awards such as the Tony Awards and Laurence Olivier Awards.
