SHUHUA, a member of the group i-dle, has stepped onto the international film festival stage through her first leading film. According to media reports, SHUHUA attended the 51st Toronto International Film Festival held in Toronto, Canada on the 17th (local time) and graced the world premiere of the film ‘Happily Ever After’. On this day, SHUHUA appeared in a black dress and received great cheers from the local audience.

Regarding her thoughts after watching the completed film for the first time, SHUHUA shared, “Watching the film through the perspectives of different characters felt like getting to know everyone all over again,” and added, “I could feel deeply that the people around me love me in their own ways.” She further added her thought that effort is needed to understand others with different personalities. This work deals with the events that unfold when a stray cat appears in the daily lives of two sisters with vastly different personalities, and SHUHUA played the role of the youngest sister, Lin Jia-chi.

The direction of this work was handled by Golden Horse Awards-winning director Fiona Roan. Through the film's introduction, the Toronto International Film Festival gave positive reviews of SHUHUA's acting, stating, “Despite it being her first acting challenge, she delivers a convincing and authentic performance.” Netizens are also expressing anticipation for SHUHUA's acting debut and showing interest in her future steps.

SHUHUA's screen debut, ‘Happily Ever After’, is also invited to the 31st Busan International Film Festival held this coming October. Through this, SHUHUA is scheduled to meet domestic audiences directly.
