Princess Ubolratana opened the "Thai Night Busan 2026" event at the Park Hyatt Busan on October 11, marking Thailand's role as the first Country of Honor at ACFM 2026. The initiative featured a showcase from four companies to facilitate business exchanges and international cooperation for the Thai entertainment industry.

The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) of Thailand held "Thai Night Busan 2026" at the Park Hyatt Busan ballroom on October 11 under the theme "Reimagining Thailand." The event was organized to promote the capabilities of Thailand's film, entertainment, and content industries and to expand business exchanges between Thai companies and international buyers, investors, and industry professionals.

The event took place during the Asia Contents & Film Market (ACFM 2026). As Thailand was selected as the first Country of Honor for ACFM 2026, the occasion served as a platform to introduce the competitiveness of Thai content and explore possibilities for international cooperation.

During the opening ceremony, Princess Ubolratana of Thailand delivered an opening speech and viewed the video "REIMAGINING THAILAND: THAILAND WHERE FILMS COME ALIVE," which introduces Thailand's creativity and content production capabilities.

The event was hosted by actor and presenter Thitisan Goodburn. Actors Suppasit Jongcheveevat and Pakorn Thanasrivanitchai also attended to support the promotion of the Thai content and entertainment industry.

Four Thai companies—World Premier Art, Waga Creative, Mojo Living, and Dream Dimension—participated in the "Thai Company Showcase," a major program of the event. Each company presented its content and production capabilities through work introduction videos and performances by participating actors, allowing international buyers, investors, and cooperation partners to meet the Thai works and actors directly.

During the subsequent networking reception and cocktail party, Thai companies and international attendees exchanged opinions and discussed various cooperation possibilities, including content rights transactions, co-productions, and expansion into overseas markets.

Through the "Thai Night" held again in Busan, DITP is supporting the overseas expansion of the Thai entertainment industry. The initiative aims to expand the overseas networks of Thai companies by linking work introductions with business exchanges, establishing a foundation that can lead to practical transactions and cooperation in the future.
