Tool Music took the stage after being selected for the festival's performance recruitment project.
Hosted by the Korea Federation of Organizations of the Disabled Artists, this festival was organized to highlight the artistic capabilities of disabled artists and serve as a venue for communication between disabled and non-disabled people through culture and arts.
The performance featured four professional disabled artists: left-handed pianist Lee Hoon (stroke), baritone Kim Bong-jung (visual impairment), tenor Shin Hyeong-seop (brain lesion disability), and pianist Kim Gyeong-seok (developmental disability). The diverse program included Kim Gyeong-seok's Haydn piano sonata, Kim Bong-jung's "My Way," Shin Hyeong-seop's "Majung," and Lee Hoon's Scriabin "Prelude and Nocturne for the Left Hand, Op. 9," concluding with a collaborative performance of "Amazing Grace" to deliver a message of harmony.
The audience filling Magok Square was particularly immersed in the performance, listening closely to every musical expression of the performers. Even in the open space of the outdoor plaza, moving moments unfolded as the stage and audience became one through music, providing a meaningful opportunity to share the outstanding musical capabilities of disabled artists with citizens.
