AER WORKS opens first Seoul pop-up store at Cheongnyangni Lotte Department Store
Performance workwear platform AER WORKS has launched its first Seoul pop-up store at the Cheongnyangni Lotte Department Store, expanding its retail presence from industrial areas into urban department stores.
Performance workwear platform AER WORKS opened its first Seoul pop-up store at the Cheongnyangni Lotte Department Store on the 16th, featuring the domestic introduction of Japanese brand TORAICHI among approximately 40 product types.
Performance workwear platform AER WORKS opened its first Seoul pop-up store on the 5th floor of the Cheongnyangni Lotte Department Store on the 16th. After opening its first store in Busan last June, AER WORKS has been expanding its distribution network near industrial complexes in Suwon, Incheon, and Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, and is now extending its sales touchpoints into urban department stores. This pop-up also features the first domestic introduction of products from the Japanese workwear brand TORAICHI.
Through this pop-up, AER WORKS is proposing "workcore" style, where workwear is worn like everyday clothing. The initiative appears to reflect the trend of workwear, once used exclusively on industrial sites, expanding its presence into urban fashion. Industry observers suggest the trend of workwear—which emphasizes both functionality and style—moving beyond industrial areas into department stores and shopping malls may become more pronounced.
The pop-up space is designed under the concept "BUILT FOR LIFEWEAR," which aims to break the boundaries between work and daily life. Featuring FW pictorials involving actor Lee Jin-uk, the space introduces approximately 40 types of products from Japanese workwear brands, including BURTLE, XEBEC, TS DESIGN, I’Z FRONTIER, and GRACE ENGINEER’S. "Workcore is establishing itself as a new style," an AER WORKS official said. "Through this first Seoul pop-up, we will create an opportunity for more consumers to experience global workwear firsthand."
