On Thursday the 27th at 11:50 PM, MBC will first reveal the 2026 version live performance of the 'national medal song' <그곳에 올라> through '2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games X it's Live'. This video will also be released simultaneously on the music live specialty YouTube channel 'it's Live'.

This stage features MBC's star commentary lineup, including caster Kim Sung-joo and Ahn Jung-hwan (football), Jang Hye-jin (archery), Jung Min-cheol (baseball), Oh Seung-hwan (baseball), Park Chan-i (swimming), and Ha Seung-Jin (basketball). <그곳에 올라> is a song produced by MBC for the 2012 London Olympics, and for over 10 years, it has been called the song that symbolizes major sports events. This 2026 version is newly presented by singer Kim Yeon-woo with a live band set. It is reported that Kim Yeon-woo made a surprise appearance at the site where the commentators were sharing memories to perform the live song himself.

Recalling the moment she stepped up as the final shooter during the women's archery team's 6th consecutive victory at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games, Jang Hye-jin said, "Sometimes I shed tears when I hear this song." Jung Min-cheol pointed to the moment he secured the final out to confirm the 4th consecutive victory at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games baseball final, saying, "I feel the thrill of overcoming adversity to win." Ha Seung-Jin described it as a song that is "like a Cliché that always plays during great scenes," mentioning the moment of the basketball gold medal at the 2014 Incheon Asian Games. Park Chan-i recalled the moment her husband Jeon Woong-tae won the gold medal in modern pentathlon at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, stating, "It was also the song for the groom's entrance at our wedding."

Expectations for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Games

Jang Hye-jin hoped for the women's archery team to achieve their 8th consecutive victory, and Ha Seung-Jin demonstrated a broadcasting roar: "Buzzer check, 3-pointer...! Goal! South Korea gold medal!" When asked how many times they hope <그곳에 올라> will resonate during the tournament, Jung Min-cheol answered 100 times, caster Kim Sung-joo answered 120 times, Oh Seung-hwan answered 150 times, and Ahn Jung-hwan shouted 200 times.
