The special dog dance challenge of Hansol, a creator with a visual impairment, and his dog Tori.
Hansol, a creator with 1.8 million subscribers, and his dog Tori have embarked on a new challenge. After moving many people with their agility competition challenge last year, the pair met again one year later to prepare for another special endeavor: "dog dance," a dog sport where the owner and dog dance together to music. Because the sport requires perfect harmony and communication between the dog and the owner, their goal is to perform a wonderful stage at an international dog dance competition held in the fall.
Hansol and Tori began intensive practice in May. However, despite their bold ambitions, they face many obstacles from the start. For Hansol, who has a visual impairment, it is not easy to track Tori's location while moving to the music or to confirm whether Tori has performed a specific movement. The only thing Hansol can rely on is the sound of the small bell attached to Tori's neck. They must gauge Tori's movements through the subtle differences in the bell's sound and complete the set choreography through mutual trust. Despite the countless repetitions in practice, Hansol's passion has not cooled. He even sang the competition song himself to show his determination for the special stage.
A reliable supporter has stepped up to cheer on their challenge: the famous choreographer Kinky. Kinky acted as a one-day dance teacher for Hansol, who admitted to having little experience with dance and considering himself to have no rhythm. With Kinky's guidance, Hansol and Tori gradually completed the choreography. However, just as they felt they were getting closer to their goal, an unexpected crisis arose. Tori, who usually boasts fantastic chemistry with Hansol and is called a "genius dog," loses focus whenever they go outdoors. Because Tori loses concentration due to curiosity about unfamiliar environments, practice is frequently interrupted, deepening Hansol's concerns ahead of the actual dog dance competition.
Hansol and Tori are the best partners, connecting through their hearts even without sight. Their passionate dog dance challenge, as they push past limits through mutual trust, will be revealed on SBS Animal Farm on the 25th at 9:30 AM.
