Amid reports that JYP Entertainment has set its direction toward withdrawing from the new headquarters construction project within the Godeok Biz Valley in Kang Dong-gu, Seoul, the company has released an official position. A JYP official stated on the 10th that they are reviewing future response measures from multiple angles regarding the issue of canceling the new headquarters construction.
The rumors of withdrawal from this project spread further after Professor Yu Hyeon-jun of Hongik University, who was in charge of the architectural design for the new headquarters, mentioned that he received a position regarding the project withdrawal from JYP on the 9th. Previously, in October 2023, JYP announced plans to build a 28-story headquarters by 2028 after winning the bid for 10,675㎡ of distribution and sales facility land in Godeok-dong from the Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation for approximately 75.536 billion KRW.
