The life service platform Soomgo has appointed actor Ju Ji-hoon as its brand model and unveiled its new campaign, ‘When calling someone to your home, Soomgo,’ on the 27th. This campaign was prepared to promote a lifestyle of calling experts, so-called ‘Go Soo,’ when problems arise at home that are difficult to solve alone.
Soomgo has been connecting customers and experts across a wide range of areas, from sudden issues like leaks or electrical failures to fields requiring expertise such as cleaning, moving, and interior design. In this campaign, using the expression ‘Sabujak (Work ends when you call a person),’ the message conveys that calling an expert can be an everyday choice rather than a grand decision. This is interpreted as an attempt to broaden the perception that even seemingly minor tasks, such as furniture assembly or home repairs, can be easily resolved through an expert.
The campaign video features Ju Ji-hoon, who left a strong impression in dramas such as <Trauma Center>. The video personifies invisible entities that cause large and small problems throughout the house as ‘Trouble Maker,’ and unfolds with Ju Ji-hoon calling experts in those fields through the app to resolve them. Seven common everyday situations, including wallpaper and flooring installation, bathroom leaks, moving, furniture assembly, cleaning, electrical issues, and pest control, are used as subject matter.
The video will be released sequentially through TV, OTT, YouTube, etc., starting from today. Soomgo stated that it plans to continue marketing activities in which consumers can directly participate even after the video release.
Kim Yeon-jung, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Soomgo, said, “We planned this campaign based on the actual experiences of customers who have solved daunting problems encountered at home through Soomgo over the past 10 years. We will continue to expand the brand experience so that Soomgo naturally comes to mind whenever any inconvenience arises and an expert is called to the home.” Attention is focused on how much this campaign, featuring a famous actor, will establish the somewhat unfamiliar service usage method of expert matching as a popular habit.
