Utopian Studio is moving to expand its Asia-Pacific (APAC) business by fully integrating its Asian subsidiary, Utopian Studio East, into its headquarters system. Along with this organizational restructuring, Hyun Park, the former CEO of Utopian Studio East, has been appointed as the President of Utopian Studio APAC.
Integrated Business Scope
Through this integration, the Korean production organization, Japanese development business, Asian regional partnerships, and more than 18 film and TV projects will be incorporated into a global business system. Moving forward, creators in Korea and Japan will have an environment where they can collaborate directly with Utopian Studio's global development, production, and technology teams.
Hyun Park's Career History as APAC President
President Hyun Park is a media expert who has been active in Asia, Europe, and the Americas for over 20 years. She previously served as the Head of the Global Business Division at Studio Dragon (CJ ENM), Co-CEO of Warner Bros. Korea, and Co-founder of Dramafever, and is currently the CEO of Alchemist Media. In the future, she will oversee production, development, and partnerships in the Asia-Pacific region and lead overall IP development.
Major Project Status
Utopian Studio is currently developing approximately 25 film and TV projects, with the first works scheduled to begin production this year and be released in 2027. A key project in the Asian region is the Korean-German co-produced live-action film 'Half Moon' directed by Hyoju Yang. For this work, Utopian Studio's cinematic storytelling AI system, 'PAI', is planned to be utilized as an auxiliary tool for implementing visual elements.
