FOODOLOGY expands Japan retail network to more than 14,000 stores
ADAPT’s Korean inner beauty brand FOODOLOGY had products stocked in more than 14,000 Japanese stores as of June, extending its online sales momentum into physical retail. The company said it plans to expand both online and offline distribution in Japan.
FOODOLOGY, ADAPT’s Korean inner beauty brand, expanded its Japanese retail network to more than 14,000 stores as of June, bringing its online sales momentum into physical outlets and widening its reach among local consumers.
The brand is now stocked by major Japanese retailers including Welcia, Don Quijote and Lawson. It has also introduced blueberry and melon flavors reflecting Japanese consumers’ preferences as part of its localization strategy.
The expansion follows sustained online results for its flagship product, Coleology Cutting Jelly. In 2025, the product ranked first for 24 consecutive weeks in the calorie support supplement category’s consumer review rankings on @cosme, Japan’s largest cosmetics and beauty information platform. It also ranked first in the supplement and diet category during Qoo10 Japan’s Mega Wari event for six consecutive quarters, from 2025 through the first half of 2026.
Industry observers see the move into physical stores, built on those online results, as a potential turning point in establishing the brand in Japan. The appointment of a local brand model to raise awareness is also viewed as part of that effort.
FOODOLOGY named Japanese actor Rino Sashihara as its brand model in July. The company said it plans to continue expanding both its online and offline distribution channels in Japan.
