Hanse Yes24 Cultural Foundation and Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture Sign Agreement for Basic Arts Support and Cultural Exchange

The Hanse Yes24 Cultural Foundation has decided to join hands with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture to discover promising artists in basic arts fields such as classical lieder, literature, and fine arts, and to expand support for creation. On September 15, the two institutions held a memorandum of understanding ceremony at the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture Daehakro Center located in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and established a mutual cooperation system. This agreement was promoted with the purpose of providing a stable creative foundation for artists in the field of basic arts and further strengthening Korea-ASEAN cultural and arts exchange by linking the projects and infrastructure held by both sides.

According to media reports, the Hanse Yes24 Cultural Foundation plans to develop various cooperative projects by combining its accumulated experience in cultural and arts support with the network and infrastructure of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture. In particular, they plan to broaden the scope of basic arts support by linking existing Korea-ASEAN cultural and arts projects, such as international cultural exchange exhibitions and Southeast Asian literature series. Additionally, they plan to assist the creative activities of artists by utilizing the artist creation spaces and arts education centers operated by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, and will gradually expand sustainable cooperation models such as performing joint projects and building networks.

The two institutions previously had experience cooperating through the performance 'Winter Wanderer to Listen to in Summer 2026,' a concert for the Hanse Yes24 Cultural Foundation's music project 'Hanse Classic Lied' this past June. At that time, they achieved results in increasing public interest in classical performances by inviting citizen audiences for free in connection with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture's official SNS arts sponsorship channel. Based on such cooperation cases, they are expected to continue a more systematic partnership in the future.

Baek Su-mi, Chairperson of the Hanse Yes24 Cultural Foundation, stated regarding this cooperation, "It will serve as a bridgehead for Seoul citizens to deeply experience the true value of basic arts such as classical lieder, ASEAN literature, and fine arts in their daily lives, and to vitalize Korea-ASEAN cultural and arts exchange."
